Women & Girls Empowerment

What is Kanyapujan ?

Kanya Pujan is celebrated on the occasion of Navratri twice a year with
a belief that young girls are the replica of Goddess Durga.

Kanyapujan is a ritual during Navratri in which 9 young girls between 2-10 years are worshipped and are given food and gifts. The idea behind Kanya puja is to motivate people the education of girl children and help them to get a better life. One of the Unique and Grand events is organized by BETI FOUNDATION, Delhi based establish organization working for underprivileged Girls and Women in an esteem organization working to support development at the grassroots and improve the quality of life of underprivileged communities across rural India. The event will be held during Navratri every year.

The Objective of this event is to spread awareness around the Indian heritage culture along with seeking sponsorship from privileged communities to support the girl child education for one year. Beti Foundation has approached schools for underprivileged children located in different areas of New Delhi. Children will reach the venue under the supervision of their teachers. Transport will be provided for them to reach the venue, in each bus there will be one volunteer from Beti Foundation to ensure the security and safety of children.  Apart from this, a consent form will be given to school teachers to seek parents’ permission regarding the traveling of their ward for the event.

The opening ceremony of the event will go to be a grand welcome celebration of Guests in a very creative manner. And at the same time, we are promoting girl education in underprivileged communities. These poor parents and children can’t afford the expenses of education and that’s why this community is unable to overcome the situation of poverty. Beti Foundation hands out support to needy people in society and tries hard to change their lives. We are looking forward to working with such an esteemed organization.
